Conesus Lake, also known as "Always Beautiful", is 8 miles in length and has a total population of 15,000. Residential development is primarily seen on the Northern end of lake. With its shallow depths, it makes for a perfect lake year round, which is where the name 'always beautiful' comes from. In the summer, it is common to find people fishing and swimming, and in the winter, people can be seen ice fishing, riding snowmobiles, or ice skating.
