HEMLOCK LAKE

Hemlock Lake measures 7 miles in length and is used as a water reservoir for the City of Rochester, making it one of the only two Finger Lakes that do not have development along the shoreline. While Hemlock Lake does not allow visitors the opportunity to reside shorefront, we recommend a visit to Hemlock Lake for anyone who enjoys being immersed in untouched nature. Hemlock lake is great for those who enjoy hiking, bird watching, and fishing, allowing visitors to be surrounded by 415 acres of untouched hemlock, beech, sugar maple, and oak trees.
